E-Vision has announced the addition of TMG Enter, a 24-hour technology channel, bringing the number of channels on its network to 110.
TMG Enter is a dedicated science and technology channel broadcasting out of Bangalore, India and reaching over 10 million households in the SubContinent. One of the main highlights on TMG Enter is the IT Hour; the world's longest running show on Technology that has been on air since 1996 with over 1800 episodes. Other signature programmes on the channel, known as the KNOW HOW channel, include Zindagi Online, (Life Online), a daily Internet show, Take IT Easy -the trouble shooting show and Breakthrough - a job and career counselling show.
Commenting on the agreement to carry TMG Enter exclusively on E-Vision's platform, Humaid Rashid Sahoo, E-Vision's Chief Executive Officer, said having TMG Enter is great news for those who have passion for technology. 'E-Vision strives to bring viewers not only the best in sports events and movies but also knowledge and information on the latest technological advances and gadgets. And with E-Vision adding TMG Enter, viewers can keep update with the latest technological developments.'
Talking at the occasion, Subhanjan Sarkar, Founder & Chairman, Technology Media Group Pvt.Ltd., said: 'We will continue to focus on the UAE and its highly developed technology market and address the needs of the local viewers. Working with FIRST mace Group in the Middle East market, special UAE focused versions of TMG Enter's popular shows like Take IT Easy and Life Online will be soon made part of the offering during local prime time.'
According to Sarkar, E-Vision understands the needs of viewers and offers them the channels that suit their different tastes. 'TMG Enter's partnership with E-Vision means that viewers will now get the knowledge required to be prepared for the new information age and help them utilize the investments they make in any new technology.'
TMG is available at no extra charge to all E-Vision customers on channel 53 as part of E-Vision's Basic Package that comprises over 75 channels. TMG Enter has started on October 13, a daily show titled 'UAE IT Special' to coincide with GITEX 2002. The programme starts at 8.30pm UAE time.
