Zahid Tractor launches the new sport utility ACTYON in the Saudi market

During a press conference held in Jeddah at Zahid's showroom, G.T.Lee, managing director, vehicle export division, said that he anticipated that SsangYong would, building on their already strong partnership with Zahid Tractor, become a leading player in the market with the support of SsangYong products.

He pointed to the half-century history of the Korean carmaker, founded in 1954, and its position as market leader in the luxury car segment in Korea. "I am convinced that this new model will become a leading model in this segment of the market in Saudi Arabia," he said.

Alain Sykora, director automotive division of Zahid Tractor was upbeat about the potential of the new model. "We believe that together assisted in no small part by impressive new models such as the Karan, the Rodeus and the Actyo," he said.

The technologically-advanced ACTYON is powered by a 2,300cc engine which gives a best-in-class maximum output of 150 ps.

Coined from the words "active" and "youth", the sporty yet sleek-designed ACTYON portrays an aggressive look and particularly addresses the appetite of customers in late 20s to mid-30s, people "who seek unique modes of expression and young urban professionals who are thinking of replacing their small sedan".
