Kuwait to buy 34 planes
- Kuwait: Wednesday, February 14 - 2007 at 07:23
Kuwait Airways is buying up to 34 new aircraft and is expecting to field offers from Airbus and Boeing in the next few weeks, AFP reported. The order, expected to be worth several billion dollars, will replace an ageing fleet of 15 Airbus and two Boeing aircraft. The national carrier had most of its fleet destroyed during Iraq's occupation of the country in August 1990.
