Marko range makes its debut in the UAE

To meet the growing demand for high-quality school furniture, total office solutions provider OFIS has tied up with Holland-based Marko school furniture to provide a higher level of product expertise to UAE schools.
"With scores of new high-end schools coming up, along with colleges and universities, now is the time to introduce well-designed and innovative furniture that can guarantee long-term comfort to its users," said Ajai Dayal, General Manager, Retail and Marketing, Easa Saleh Al Gurg group
Dayal added: "After speaking to institutions in the UAE, we understood their need for functional and safe teaching systems across all grades of education. Like the rest of UAE, the educational market is growing at a fast pace."
Marko's robust, and high quality furniture series for schools conforms to European standards and goes through intensive design and quality control tests to ensure safety and durability. Available in a range of vibrant, colours and designs, Marko furniture is ergonomically designed with height adjustable features for tables and chairs.
With an annual turnover of AED 241 million (€ 50 million) and 15 per cent market share in Europe Marko is now expanding its horizons in the UAE.
Friso Tammes, CEO of Marko said: "Having visited schools in Dubai, we saw scope for introducing ergonomic and safe furniture in schools to create an inspiring learning environment for both students and teachers."

Besides classroom seating, Marko is equipped with laboratory equipment, innovative writing boards, storage cabinets, library fittings and theatre-style educational seating.
OFIS has been in the office flooring and furnishing business for almost two decades. Ajai Dayal, General Manager, Retail and Marketing, Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group says more attention needs to be paid to ergonomics, design and space planning when managing furniture requirements in the UAE to move in line with trends in Europe.
Since the beginning of 2006, OFIS has introduced several new lines of office furniture and flooring solutions across the region. All brands under OFIS include state-of-the-art, innovative solutions for offices which emphasise ergonomics and functionality.
OFIS showrooms are located at the foot of Maktoum Bridge in Dubai and at the junction of Hamdan and Salaam Street, Abu Dhabi.
