Bringing world class horsemanship, nail-biting pace and international glamour to the shores of Dubai, mamemo productions announced the dates for the 4th Beach Polo Cup - Dubai 2007 which will be held under the Patronage of H.H. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education.
Professional Polo players from around the world will participate in this enthralling tournament to compete for the prestigious Beach Polo Cup. The teams will be battling to break last year's record of three straight wins by Mohammed Al Habtoor's team, earning them the Tournament Cup.
'The 4th Beach Polo Cup - Dubai 2007 will be more dazzling than ever before, and is set to exceed the successes of previous years,' commented Sam Katiela, Managing Director, mamemo productions and organizer of the event. 'At the heart of the event is our commitment to convey the passion of the sport to our audience. We are proud that the Cup has grown at such a spectacular rate over the years, even gaining international recognition. This year's Cup will include a grand stand for invited members of the public, to allow more polo lovers to share the big moments of this beautiful sport.'
The 4th Beach Polo Cup - Dubai 2007 has high stakes. Players include international Polo professionals and well known personalities from the region to ensure that the two tournament days offer breathtaking moments of the stunning sport. Again, Argentinean professionals Justo del Carril and Gabriel Iglesias as well as H.E. Dr. Abdelrahman A. Abbar and Rashid and Mohammed Al Habtoor will be playing in the tournament.
The Charity Auction held during the Gala Dinner, and the Charity Match prior to the finals, enable the event to be a truly meaningful contributor to Dubai society. The Al Joud Group, a registered organization at the Dubai International Humanitarian City, will lead the charity segment of the event, as the group is dedicated to creating awareness about charitable activities. For this year, the group aims to support The Future Centre For Special Needs, a non-profit institution dedicated on enabling students with disabilities to experience joyful and meaningful lives through education programs and rehabilitation services, led by H.H. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister for Higher Education.
'As in previous years, the 4th Beach Polo Cup - Dubai 2007, under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister for Higher Education, will kick off with the society event of the year - the unique Gala Night of the Players at the Ritz Carlton. The black-tie dinner, featuring a fantastic entertainment show, charity auction by Christie's for the Future Center for Special Needs and giant fashion show, will be attended by the prominent sponsors of the tournament as well as Dubai's society elite. During the two days guests will be able to experience polo at its best, from their tiered VIP tables stretching the length of the field. The whole event will be topped off with an exclusive after-party where players, sponsors and guests will have the chance to socialise, celebrate and bring another Beach Polo tournament to a suitably sophisticated close,' concluded Katiela.
