Malware threat to operators

Telco operators have reported a noticeable spike in the number of malware outbreaks over recent months, reported Gulf News. A study by Informa Telecoms and Media reveals that more than 50% of operators which have experienced malware incidents have had one in the past three months. The report shows that 85% of operators plan to ramp up their security budgets to deal issues including network intrusion, mobile viruses, and mobile phishing.
