ExxonMobil adds 1.9bn barrels

The ExxonMobil Corporation has added more than 1.9bn barrels of oil equivalent to its proven reserves in 2006, with the largest gains coming from the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions, reported Reuters. The company's reserve replacement now sits at 122% of its 2006 production including property sales. The additions brought ExxonMobil's reserves to 22.7bn barrels with a reserve life of 14.2 years at current production rates.
