Arab Thought Foundation to host the Second International Translation Conference

The theme of this conference is Translation in a Globalizing World... Experiences, Expertise and Technologies.

The Belgium-based International Permanent Conference of University Institutes of Translators and Interpreters ( CIUTI), the Montreal-based International Federation of Translators ( FIT) and the Arab Thought Foundation (ATF) are joining efforts for the first time in organizing one of the largest international translation events to be held at Le Royal- Amman, Jordan on April 27& 28 ,2007

Initiated by Arab Thought Foundation, this international translation conference brings together leading world authorities in translation and interpretation to discuss regional and international issues related to this discipline and its professional impact on the whole world.

It will be attended by scholars of translation studies, professional translators and interpreters, decision makers, publishers, media, IT, advertising companies and financial institutions and others concerned with professional translation and interpreting. Speakers and panelists will discuss and exchange experiences and share expertise in strategies, interdisciplinary research, translation and media, translation and technology as well as the status of translators.

The themes of the conference will be addressed by high caliber professionals from USA, Germany, China, Switzerland, UK , Belgium, France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Denmark, Austria, Spain, Argentina, Finland, New Zealand, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Morocco, Jordan, Egypt, Algiers, Tunisia, Syria, Italy, and Lebanon.
