Metito inks contract with Palm Water for the construction of a sewage treatment plant at the International City

Metito, the international desalination, water, and waste water treatment company today announced that it has signed a turn-key project for financing, constructing, and operating a temporary Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) at International City after which, the ownership will be returned to Palm Water.
The contract has been signed with Palm Water, to provide waste water management services for Nakheel's prestigeous and well-known International City development. The temporary sewage treatment plant is designed by Metito with the provision to be moved and transported to any other location, where it may be deemed necessary. The plant will consist of three streams to treat the raw sewage using extended aeration activated sludge process. This will serve the growing population of International City, which is increasing at a rapid rate.
Commenting on the occasion, Fady Juez, Managing Director of Metito said: "We are glad to be awarded the contract for The International City WWTP. Nakheel projects tend to be unique and ground breaking in the industry which in turn presents a challenge in providing high quality utility services for such large scale developments on a fast-track basis."
Metito will also ensure that the sewage treatment plant's design & operation complies with the stringent standards issued by PCFC Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority (JAFZA) and Dubai Municipality.
