Grand Hyatt Amman's sponsorship includes offering members of "Music in ME" all arrangements needed to hold their concerts and events, which comes as part of Grand Hyatt Amman's social responsibility towards the local community.

"We are delighted to offer sponsorship to one of the most impressive projects that embraces humanity."Music in ME" brings music and joy to many people, especially children that would normally be deprived of the joy of music due to war and poverty." said Mr. Otto Steenbeek, General Manager of Grand Hyatt Amman.

The money raised from the concerts is intended to establish a Music Therapy Institute in Amman to educate Arabic speaking music therapists. "Music in ME" is not a one-off, short-term musical project, but a continuous and long-term development of musical awareness and education.

"To us, being socially responsible means trying hard to involve our values in everything we do especially how we impact the communities where we live and work." Steenbeek added.

Grand Hyatt Amman has always believed in music as an essential part of life. Likewise, Grand Hyatt Amman is also supporting the Amman Symphony Orchestra as part of the hotel's support to the National Music Conservatory talents.

Grand Hyatt Amman will be fully sponsoring three "Music in ME" concerts at Zara Expo during 2007 and will be working closely with the organization to support this project. The first concert presented the Algerian-Canadian renowned singer; Lynda Thalie, who amazed the audience with a breath-taking performance.

"In the coming years the organization focuses on 23 projects in different Middle Eastern countries. These projects range from supporting the Arab Youth Orchestra and developing music education for children in Beirut and Damascus to launching a music school in Gaza and a Music Therapy Institute in Amman.
