NIDC, joint drilling deal

The National Iranian Drilling Company has commenced the drilling of four exploratory oil wells in the Persian Gulf in collaboration with Brazil's Petrobars and Spain's Repsol, reported the Tehran Times citing the Mehr News Agency. Hedayatollah Khademi, the NIDC's Director of Engineering, said the project was the result of an earlier agreement between the three companies but would not be drawn on the contract's value or when it was signed.
