UAE peanut butter withdrawal

The UAE's health authorities have instructed the country's supermarkets to remove two brands of peanut butter from their shelves which are thought to have infected 300 Americans with salmonella, reported Gulf News. The recall affects the Peter Pan and Great Value brands with product codes on the lid beginning with 2111. Consumers are advised to discard any of these products if purchased after May 2006.
