- PRESS RELEASE
The Middle East packaging industry is recording double-digit annual growth, according to a key regional player, Triveni Trading. And the company, one of the region's leading packaging machinery and materials suppliers says the trend is set to continue.
Triveni Trading, which has offices and showrooms throughout the Gulf, says the Middle East's packaging sector's future will be heavily reliant on automation as the industry looked to tighten its workforce.
"Since visa rules and local regulations in certain parts of the Middle East are becoming more strintge, the entire industry is looking to automation in the packaging and manufacturing sectors to reduce manpower," explained Galgotia.
Triveni, which represents key European and US principals, said its now planning to introduce new packaging technology at PackTech International, the international packaging exhibition which will be held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre (DIEC) from January 12-15 next year.
"We will launch machinery for a new application at PackTech International," explained Galgotia. "At past shows we have introduced new packaging machines and systems and had good results from all over the Middle East. PackTech enables us to reach the entire Middle East customer base with innovative, up-to-date packaging solutions."
Exhibitors from the Middle East, Indian Sub-continent, the CIS and Europe are contracted for PackTech International, which is organised by Fairs and Exhibitions (F&E). The show will host an official pavilion representing the French packaging industry.
A biennial event, PackTech International is the Middle East's only B2B trade show for the packaging industry. The exhibition has the backing of the UK-headquartered Confederation of Organisers of Packaging Exhibitions (COPE).
A sister exhibition - PrinTech/PubliTech - the Middle East's premier event for the international printing and publishing industry will be held alongside PackTech International.
"There is considerably synergy across the titles," said Sharla Hancock, Project Manager, F&E. "The packaging and printing industries in particular are heavily interdependent and growth in one area is substantially reflected in the other."
