Saudi hospitals set for shake-up

Government hospitals in Saudi Arabia are set to be converted into private corporations which will be run commercially in order to raise healthcare standards, reported Arab News. The project has been finalised by the Ministry of Health and the plans have now been submitted to the Higher Committee for Administrative Reorganisation. The scheme would cost around SR10bn and would include all 200 hospitals under the ministry's control.
