The Supreme Organising Committee of the high-profile Conference, which shed light on projects executed on the basis of build-operate-transfer (BOT) operations, honoured Tamdeen at a gala awards ceremony held at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in the presence of the Kuwait Energy Minister and Acting Minister of Finance Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah.
The award was conferred to Tamdeen in recognition of its signature project - the iconic Fahaheel Waterfront Development in Al Kout Complex, which offers a unique mix of traditional design and contemporary world-class architecture.
Tawfiq Al-Jarrah, Chairman and Managing Director of Kuwait Commercial Markets Complex and head of the Supreme Organizing Committee, said:
"The Madinat Al Fahaheel project is instrumental in providing an impetus to the resurgence in the tourism sector in Kuwait. The complex, an up-market development, is a premier tourist interest and epitomises Tamdeen's leadership position in the real estate milieu in Kuwait and the region."
He added: "The award is in recognition of Tamdeen's pivotal role in promoting the cultural heritage of Kuwait through such mixed-use developments."
In his comments, Faisal Al Medlij, General Manager at Tamdeen Real Estate, said: "We are extremely delighted and proud to have won this prestigious award and Tamdeen is committed to offering world-class developments to the residents, shoppers and tourists in Kuwait. We are extremely grateful to the Supreme Organising Committee of the Conference for their trust and appreciation for the efforts of Tamdeen in developing the Shopping Centres and other mixed-used complexes in the country."
He added: "This award recognises our strategic growth plan in line with our vision, development fundamentals and result-oriented initiatives"
