Tunisian Air Force awards contract to GAMCO for Hercules C-130 aircraft

Gulf Aircraft Maintenance Company (GAMCO) announced that it had been awarded a contract from the Tunisian Air Force.
GAMCO's Chief Executive Officer, Saif Al Mughairy explained that, "we are very pleased with the brotherly relationship with Tunisia; a major contributing factor was GAMCO's extensive technical expertise in carrying out similar aircraft maintenance. Additionally, this contract is important to GAMCO and it will expand defence business in North Africa."
Al Mughairy further said, "We are very confident that GAMCO will maintain best quality and satisfactory record for all of the Tunisian Air Force requirements as we have already demonstrated our ability to deliver C130 aircraft on time and to a very high standard under the current maintenance contract from Lockheed Martin. Moreover, during the last eighteen years GAMCO has built up a solid reputation for providing high quality aircraft maintenance for international airlines".

GAMCO continues to attract at an ever-increasing rate, additional business from airlines not only within the region, but also from Asia, Europe and North America. Currently services the following major customers and markets, Royal Air Force (RAF), United State Air Force (USAF), United Arab Emirates Air Force (UAEAF), Dubai Air Wing (DAW), Iraqi Air Force (IAF), Kuwaiti Air Force (KAF), Royal Omani Air Force (ROAF), Bangladesh Air Force (BAF), Canadian Air Force (CAF) and more.
GAMCO has been performing major C-130, L100-30 inspections; Periodic Depot Maintenance "PDM" for the last 18 years and considered the main Depot Maintenance Base for UAE Air Force and Air Defence aircraft, engines and components. Additionally, GAMCO has been appointed in 2001 as Authorized Service Center of Lockheed Martin Hercules aircraft for both military C-130 and civilian (L100-30) for more than twenty (20) countries in Middle East, Africa and Asia, including Tunisia.
The year 2004 also saw GAMCO successfully complete the first glass cockpit refit for a Hercules C130, owned by Dubai Air Wing (DAW). The job involved the complete refit of a legacy dial cockpit to a state of the art glass configuration.
GAMCO has embarked on an aggressive building expansion program. To keep GAMCO at the forefront of the maintenance, repair and overhaul business, and additionally to accommodate the increasing demand from airlines for wide-bodied commercial aircraft maintenance, work has commenced on three Boeing 777 aircraft size hangar.
