Delegation from Kuwait Ministry of Higher Education visits e-TQM College

e-TQM College - the first e-learning institution of its kind in the region - recently welcomed delegates from the Ministry of Higher Education in Kuwait for a complete orientation session.

The visit introduced the delegates to e-TQM College's experience and expertise in exporting knowledge via online academic curriculums and continuing educational programmes.

Rashed T. Al Guwhedh, Assistant Under Secretary for Delegation Affairs in The Ministry of Higher Education in Kuwait, has expressed his delight in visiting e-TQM College, "We are not used to seeing such high quality of education in the GCC region. We hope this will be a great head start for us, and that all our administrative departments will adopt the e-learning platform in all their fields in the very near future." He continued to say "We realise how extremely brilliant the college is in its unique e-learning delivery of the education material, with their main goal being to deliver information quickly and effectively.

"e-TQM College has endeavored beyond other regional educational institutions because of its exclusive programs. We were particularly impressed to learn more about the preparation of these comprehensive curriculums, and the high importance placed on creating opportunities that are tailored to their students' individual needs either at home or at work", said Dr. Mesaad Faleh Shalash, The Consular and Head of the Cultural Office of the General Consulate of Kuwait in Dubai. "I am pleased to have found a college in The Gulf that rises above education barriers in the region and has the potential to reach all the countries in the Arab world."

Taking into consideration the proposition by Kuwait to benefit from e-learning of total quality, Al Guwhedh referred to the convenience of spreading e-TQM Colleges services to the region, whilst the college main campus remains in Dubai. "The college is based on an e-learning platform; therefore e-TQM College will electronically extend its services in the region. We are ready to collaborate with the college in various fields regarding training and curriculums in order to benefit all, for we strongly believe in the quality of this technique, and its advantages to society", he continued.

Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Vice President of e-TQM College emphasized on the efforts of UAE and Kuwait to effectively spread knowledge via online programmes, due to its enormous benefits to society. "The proliferation of the internet use has simplified the exchange of information, and therefore the utilization of technology by adopting e-learning systems and platforms that will certainly achieve quality and excellence in both public and private sectors."

At the end of the visit, the delegation thanked Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Commander-in Chief, Dubai Police, President of the e-TQM College, and Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Vice President of the College for their efforts to extend the concept of e-learning and implementation of total quality standards in both public and private sectors. "The invitation has given us the opportunity to get a bird's eye view of this exclusive institution in the Arab World. This new evolution of education is so beneficial in this day and age, for us, our children and for generations to come", Al Guwhedh concluded.
