"This region and especially Dubai is a very fashion conscious market looking for a quality retail experience. H&M's ideology of offering customers added value through fashion and quality at the best possible price has proved to be immensely popular and successful in the Middle East - as evidenced by our thriving stores in Dubai and Kuwait, that were launched in September of 2006." said Mohamed Alshaya, CEO of M.H. Alshaya.
"There is a huge market potential for H&M and M.H. Alshaya enjoys the regional knowledge and retailing expertise. We are quite keyed up about our new store openings and confident that they will be as successful as the existing stores."
By offering wardrobe essentials alongside high fashion in each collection, H&M makes it easy for customers to combine different clothes and find their own personal style. With more than 100 in-house designers, H&M's collections are created with the customer in mind.
This spring, Dubai is all set to experience yet another H&M first. H&M has teamed up with Madonna to create 'M for Madonna', a line of clothing and accessories that is scheduled to arrive in all stores carrying the women's wear collection on the 22nd of March.
The 'M by Madonna' line will reflect Madonna's timeless, unique and always glamorous style. A long standing cultural icon whose enormous global influence on how people dress and look is without equal, Madonna worked hand in hand with H&M Head of design Margareta van den Bosch to create a wardrobe of clothing and accessories that represent her own personal and modern spin on her very own wardrobe staples.
