Holiday Inn Bur Dubai official inauguration

Six Continents, Hotels & Resorts one of the largest hotel operators in the world, along with Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts the internationally recognised hotel brand, and Abdul Aziz Al Shiha a successful Saudi businessman have all gathered today to inaugurate a new Holiday Inn Property in Dubai and express their confidence in the UAE economy.

A press conference has been held to officially inaugurate the new property: Holiday Inn Bur Dubai. Each of the speakers presented a different aspect of the project, covering its operational, business and corporate features.

" I am proud to introduce Holiday Inn Bur Dubai in which I have been investing a great deal of effort, time and capital for the past two and a half years." Enthused Abdul Aziz Al Shiha. "For such a project, I selected Dubai that has proved over the years to be a viable, attractive, and progressive economic center in the region." Stated Al Shiha, Holiday Inn Bur Dubai Chairman.

With over 200 million dirhams invested by Al Shiha, the new property won the international award for excellence in Engineering by Microstation Manager from the U.S and received the five star rating from the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing.

David Atkinson, Area Director Marketing Middle East & Africa, welcomed the new property to Six Continents family of hotels: "The opening of the Holiday Inn Bur Dubai reflects the developments within Dubai as a major centre for both leisure and business."

The new hotel will become the third Holiday Inn hotel, and the eighth Six Continents property in the UAE. Along with two other Six Continents brands in the UAE, the Inter-Continental and the Crowne Plaza, the new Holiday Inn Bur Dubai property will benefit from a synergistic effect created by a network of properties

"Holiday Inn Bur Dubai can benefit from the Six Continents strong presence in the UAE and the region." Explained Henri Blin, Regional Vice President Operations, UAE "Holiday Inn Bur Dubai will also benefit from the cross branded marketing initiative, we will be launching in the coming few weeks."

Since the hotel began operations a month ago, the business trend has been upwards," explained Robert Rosetti, General Manager, Holiday Inn Bur Dubai: "On the 12th of September, I started with two clients. Today, I host 120 guests." He added, "This reconfirms that our strategies and plans are on par with our goals."
