UAE armed forces award Hawk aircraft AED 343 million contract to GAMCO

Gulf Aircraft Maintenance Company (GAMCO) has been awarded new five year contract value of 343 million dirhams from the United Arab Emirates Air Force and Air Defence (UAE AF & AD) to carry out 2nd Line scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the UAE Air Force fleet of Hawk MK 102, MK63 & MK61 aircraft based at Khalifa Bin Zayed Air College in Al Ain and Al Minhad Airbase in Dubai.

The Contract with GAMCO will guarantee high standard of aircraft maintenance availability and serviceability.

The maintenance support contract on the Hawk aircraft also includes component maintenance, engineering and technical support services, training services, maintenance planning & control and logistics & supply support.

Asked to comment on this major contract GAMCO Chairman, H.E. Dr Sheikh Ahmed bin Saif Al Nahyan said,

It is known that GAMCO has been awarded in 2005 similar contract to offer O&I level maintenance full support at Bateen Air Base for C-130 & L100-30 and CN-235 aircraft. While all Depot Maintenance activities and PDM inspections, Cockpits Avionics Upgrade have been handled by GAMCO for the past 17 years as GAMCO is The Authorized Hercules Service Center.
