NPC 2007 is expected to attract more than 35 teams representing various educational institutions in the UAE. The students are required to solve a number of programming problems in a limited time of five hours. Contestants can register themselves on the contest website at www.euc.ac.ae/NPC2007. This website provides important information about the contest and sample problems from previous contests.

Dr. Arif Sultan Al Hammadi, Manager of Etisalat University College said: 'This event is an excellent opportunity for students majoring in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and IT related subjects to develop their computer programming, problem solving and team work skills.'

'This contest will help us to identify gifted students who will play a major role in developing technology in the country,' he added.

NPC 2007 is expected to be the largest ever in terms of number of teams and awards following the success of NPC 2006 that attracted 27 teams and 7 major sponsors besides Etisalat.
