The awards night, held for the second time after a successful debut in Cyprus last year, was attended by USRobotics officials, employees and representatives of the company's regional partners.

TechData led the 2006 awardees after it was declared Best Regional Distributor 2006 and Best Regional Distributor Non-Analog Sales 2006. Almasa, the 2005 top regional distributor, won the Best Regional Distributor-Analog Sales 2006 award, while Saudi Arabia-based Advanced Integrated Media was awarded Best Distributor for the second year in a row. The Best Regional Platinum Partner 2006 went to Quality Computers, the Best In-Country Partner-UAE 2006 was awarded to New Trend Computers, the Best Power Retailer-UAE 2006 went to Virgin Megastores and the Best Power Retail Outlet-UAE 2006 was handed out to Sharaf Digital.
The Best Reseller of 2006 was Al-Shadadi Computer of Saudi Arabia, the Best Power Retailer was Jarir Bookstore also of Saudi Arabia, while another Saudi Arabia partner, EXTRA, was selected Best Upcoming Retailer.
Kaleem Mohammed was hailed Best Regional Product Manager 2006, Reda Al Hussiney of Saudi Arabia was Best Product Manager 2006, Shiboo Baby was declared Best Business Development Manager 2006, while Sunny Menghani took home the Outstanding Performance Award 2006.
