Emirates Aviation College offers one-year top-up degrees

Emirates Aviation College - Aerospace and Academic Studies, has successfully negotiated an agreement with the UK's Coventry University for one-year, top-up degrees.
They are on offer to Higher National Diploma (HND) students and graduates who hold HNDs in either Aerospace Engineering or Electronics and Computer Engineering and who wish to complete their bachelor degree.
The one-year programme will be delivered at the college by faculty members.
The agreement was signed between the college's Vice-Chancellor Mohammed Al Budoor and Professor Donald Pennington, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Coventry University.
Mr Al Budoor said: "We are delighted to introduce this type of degree programme in the UAE and specifically to offer this facility to HND students and graduates who wish to complete their studies to bachelor level."
The degree programmes were validated during two visits to Coventry University by college faculty members Dr. Ahmad Al Ali, Deputy Vice Chancellor, and Abdul Nasser Chakra, Programmes Manager Vocational Engineering.

The Aerospace and Academic Studies facility of Emirates Aviation College is licensed by the Ministry of Education and offers vocational programmes in Aerospace Engineering, Electronics & Computer Engineering, Business Studies and Tourism Management, in addition to short courses in Management and the English language. The range of career programmes is tailored to meet the personnel requirements of the aerospace, travel & tourism and business management industries.
The college recognises the importance of providing a sound vocational education structure based on the needs of industry in the UAE, the region and beyond. Students taking this route following completion of high school or secondary education can follow a unique path of 'learning by doing', acquiring both knowledge and skills that allow them to form a greater understanding of the needs and practices of the work-place environment.
