Career Fair at The American University in Dubai

The American University in Dubai held its annual Career Fair entitled act now: aud careers today, on the university's campus.

Local, regional, and worldwide companies specialized in Finance and Banking, Marketing and Advertising, Management, Recruitment, Engineering, Visual Communications, Graphic Design and Information Technology attended this much sought after AUD event.

AUD's President, Dr. Lance de Masi, and Vice- President, Mr. Elias Bou Saab, toured the fair and welcomed representatives from the participating companies. AUD's faculty and staff members also visited the stalls and addressed the issue of employment opportunities available to students in the UAE and the GCC region. They also inquired about possible internship opportunities for AUD's students. The company representatives, on the other hand, outlined the needs of the job market in general, and those of their respective industries in particular.

Sue Hunter, the Career Services Manager at the American University in Dubai, stated, "The annual AUD Career Fair is the ideal opportunity for students and employers to meet. This is an eagerly awaited event, with a wide range of
employers represented. With main sponsors and support sponsors giving corporate presentations to students throughout the day, as well as interview opportunities with all the participating employers, both students and employers alike appreciate and benefit from this event."

AMG (Arab Media Group) Commercial Bank of Dubai, Merrill Lynch, and Procter & Gamble Gulf FZE, participated in the career fair as main sponsors of the event, while the list of support sponsors included: Emirates Bank International, Jotun UAE, National Bank of Dubai and Zee Arabia.

Among the corporate participants were Al Futtaim Carillion, Computer Network System, Deloitte & Touche (M.E.) Digit Copy Group, DP World, Dubai World Civil Engineering, Dun & Bradstreet SAME Ltd, EFG - Hermes, Emaar Industries and Investments, Ernst & Young, Future Pipe Group, Horizon FCB, HSBC Bank Middle East Ltd, iO Graduate, JWT, KPMG, Leo Burnett, L'Oreal, Mashreq Bank, MBC Group, Nestle Middle East, Neuron LLC, Shuaa Capital, Standard Chartered Bank, The Nielsen Company, Unilever Middle East, and Worldwide Marketing Consultants and AIESEC.
