Etisalat warns SMS firm

Etisalat has warned an Abu Dhabi based firm it risks losing its licence if it continues to send out unsolicited text messages asking mobile users to reply, at a cost of Dhs10, to stand a chance of winning prizes including a car, reported Gulf News. An Etisalat official said the firm had been sent a warning latter telling it to cease the practice, while its service was also temporarily suspended.
