The trend is continuing this year too; the airline has already registered a three per cent growth in January 2007 vis-à-vis the same period in 2006 while an impressive 8.5 % growth in the first fourteen days of February over the same period last year. Overall, the airline has already seen 4.5% more Business Class passengers traveling since the beginning of 2007 compared to the same period in 2006.
"This is quite a remarkable achievement that reflects passengers' growing faith in Gulf Air for premium air travel experience," says Gulf Air Vice President Sales and Marketing Lee Shave.
"In fact, we are witnessing robust growth in our premium class travellers across several sectors; since we increased our service between Muscat and London in March 2006, we have witnessed a 37 per cent increase in our First Class segment while the Business Class registered a growth of 23 per cent on our London- Muscat route last year."
"Our Sydney- Bahrain sector is also doing extremely well; the amount of first and business class seats booked in January has gone up by 150% on the numbers of the same time last year.
