Regional issues take centre-stage at World Mail & Express Logistics Conference from February 27

Regional mail industry issues will be under the spotlight at the World Mail and Express Logistics Middle East, Africa & South Asia conference which will be held at Al Bustan Rotana, Dubai, from February 27 to 28.

The major international event will be inaugurated by H.E. Sultan Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister for Public Sector Development and Chairman of Emirates Post, at Al Bustan Rotana Dubai on Tuesday, in the presence of Mr. Abdullah Al Daboos, Director of Emirates Post, and delegates from across the region and globe.

The conference will open with Emirates Post, the host sponsor, making a presentation on "How We Can Grow the Market in the Region" in which the corporation will present its roadmap for future growth.

In the same session, Fadi Ghandour, President and CEO, Aramex International, will speak on the topic "Where Good Things are Happenning", while Paul Jackson, Chairman, Triangle Management Services, will present the Middle East Logistics Report.

Among the other prominent local and regional speakers will be Michael Proffitt, Chief Executive, Dubai Logistics City, Muhammad Saleh Benten, President, Saudi Post, Khalil Daoud, Chairman & Managing Director, LibanPost and Phil Couchman, Regional Director, DHL Middle East.

"The regional speakers will be joined by CEOs and experts from leading global corporations in presenting a well-rounded picture of the changing world of logistics," said Abdulla Al Daboos. "This is certainly a major platform for discussing critical issues that will shape world of mail and express logistics."

Lahcene Chouiter, Programme Manager Arab Region, UPU, will provide the regional UPU perspective, while Catina Aghayan, Head of Quality, Qatar Post, will present a case study on Improving Quality.

The high-level conference will cover major issues for the mail and express logistics industries, such as trade barriers, cross-border operations, privatisation, security and business alliances.

An industry exhibition is running alongside the main conference, featuring key international suppliers and operators exhibiting their latest products, technologies and services.
