SEWA closes $350m sukuk

Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority has closed its $350m nine year syndicated Sukuk Al Ijara. The facility was arranged and fully underwritten by the mandated lead arrangers ABC Islamic Bank, Gulf International Bank, Kuwait Finance House and the Sharjah Islamic Bank. The facility received strong interest from regional banks in the general syndication, which opened on January 11, and was over-subscribed.
