The Wellness Center will be developed with Duke University Health System and Partners Healthcare System.

The AED 1 billion WorldCare Wellness Center will offer wellness programmes modelled and designed after the award winning Duke Diet and Fitness Program, the most respected and effective weight loss programme in the United States.

The WorldCare Wellness Center will be directly connected to their academic consortium though the WorldCare's Global Telemedicine network, providing access to its 3,500 physicians and specialists.

Featuring an advanced diagnostic and check-up programme, it will incorporate the latest scientific breakthroughs, including genetic screening, to determine predisposition to future diseases.

Nasser Menhall, CEO of WorldCare Limited said:

"We are delighted to be part of the phenomenal growth of Dubai Healthcare City. As part of its Phase II, we will further DHCC's focus on wellness. We believe our centre will serve the needs of the region for scientifically based programmes to improve their health before the onset of serious diseases. We are confident we will play an important role in reversing the growth of diseases caused by the region's lifestyles."

"The WorldCare Wellness Center will offer consultative services from the academic experts at Duke University Health System and Partners Healthcare System (the leading teaching hospitals of Harvard Medical School). It will also provide access to a wide range of programmes and patient education directed at improving quality of life in Dubai and the region at large."

Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashimi, CEO of Dubai Healthcare City said: "We are excited and privileged to welcome WorldCare Limited, and its partners Duke University Health System and Partners HealthCare System as part of the Dubai HealthCare City's Phase II development.

"We hope to bring a unique Wellness programme based on cutting edge medical and scientific expertise to the region. We believe Wellness is the next frontier of medicine and we are proud to be a part of its advancement."

The WorldCare Wellness Center will include a 400-room five star hotel, prevention and screening programme, medical spa, and weight management programme, as well as three restaurants specialising in healthy cuisine.

With over 80 percent of the GCC adult population suffering from sedentary diseases such as diabetes, hyper-tension, high cholesterol, smoking related illnesses and obesity, this centre will target a large segment of the population in the GCC, Arab world, and Europe.
