LG to demo A/C control via the net at Big 5
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, October 23 - 2002 at 14:36
- PRESS RELEASE
Global and regional digital leader LG Electronics will demonstrate its ground-breaking Internet-control protocol for commercial air-conditioning systems at the Big 5 construction trade show which runs at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre next week.
At the LG Electronics' Big 5 pavilion, visitors will be able to 'test' the system for themselves by controlling a floor-standing LG air-conditioner from a note-book.
"They will be able to switch the a/c on and off and also adapt the temperature as required," explained An. "Internet-control protocol has been launched and well received in the split a/c sector, but the move into the commercial segment has much wider implications, particularly for designers and owners of new generation 'smart' buildings who want optimum energy efficiency."
LG is aiming to be the number one supplier across all a/c sectors in the Middle East by 2005.
