One of the main focus of NAS will be to highlight its Jordanian subsidiary NAS Aqaba who are looking to showcase the variable solutions they provide to cargo airlines, freight forwarders and shipping companies in the region.

With a state-of-the-art air cargo terminal, an open skies policy, a 3000 meter runway and parking positions for eight wide-body freighter aircraft, Aqaba's King Hussein International Airport whose cargo terminal is being managed by NAS in cooperation with the Aqaba Development Corporation is in a position to provide all the facilities a cargo airline needs.

"NAS Aqaba provides shippers from the United States and Europe a lucrative solution to ship into Africa and the Arabian Gulf." says General Manager Rob Smith of NAS Aqaba. "Our flying time to Baghdad is about 30 percent less than from Dubai and considering our chargers are substantially less expensive than other similarly placed airports, we are in a better position to get customer's goods into Iraq."

"NAS is an innovative company and as such we are inclined to provide customers with new and improved means of getting their goods across" quoted Eng. Naji Al-Ajmi CEO of NAS. "The facility in Aqaba is tailored to airlines and companies that want easier, faster and economic solutions to ship their goods into countries like Sudan, Iraq and the GCC. We would like to showcase our capabilities at the Dubai Air Cargo Event where we will get an opportunity to network with airlines, airport, freight forwarders and other ground handlers."

"NAS Aqaba intends on becoming a key component of the logistics city that is being planned and executed in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZ) by the Aqaba Development Corporation the Air Cargo Facility is all set to becoming a hub for movement of goods into and out of Europe, West Asia and Asia." he concluded.
