Etisalat University College celebrates graduation of 270 Emirati students

Etisalat University College (EUC), the academic arm of etisalat, today held the graduation ceremony of 270 UAE national students.

This ceremony was held under the patronage of HH Dr. Sheikh Sultan Al Qassimi, Ruler of Sharjah and Supreme Council Member. Members of the community, friends and families of the graduates attended this celebration at the University City Hall, University City, Sharjah.

HH Sheikh Sultan Al Qassimi, along with Mohammed Hassan Omran, Chairman Etisalat, and Dr. Arif Sultan Al Hammadi, Manager, Etisalat University College, presented the degrees to the graduates. The degrees presented were Bachelor's of Engineering and Masters of Engineering through Scientific Research, which has been introduced for the first time in the UAE.

Mohammed Hassan Omran, Chairman Etisalat, said: "It's a great pleasure that we are celebrating today the graduation of a number of qualified engineers. We are here to honor them and wish them success."

Dr. Arif Sultan Al Hammadi, said: "Etisalat University College was established through the hard work and dedication of Emirati's, and the result has been hundreds of qualified Emirati engineers who have contributed towards building and developing the community. The College has also provided the opportunity for distinguished students to continue their higher studies internationally. We are even seeing the return of students of yesterday as professors at EUC."

Dr. Hamad Al Hammadi, Assistant Professor at EUC, who spoke on behalf of the graduates, said: "In 1989, Etisalat established the Etisalat University College to serve the UAE and its citizens by developing an education system comparable to international standards. Graduates of EUC are encouraged to serve their country in any establishment or industry they see fit. Today, we are here to show our appreciation to Etisalat, which has enabled us to be qualified and able to continue building our nation."

Etisalat University College was established in 1989. It developed certified degrees in Electronic Engineering, Communication Engineering and Computer Engineering. Etisalat University College has also dedicated itself to serve the community by organizing a variety of the events and activities that are related to the field of engineering.
