- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, February 28 - 2007 at 16:30
- PRESS RELEASE
EMC, the world leader in information infrastructure solutions, today brings together senior executives from many of the leading telecoms operators in the region for the Fourth EMC Middle East Telecoms Summit.
The Telecoms Summit includes sessions from EMC and its strategic technology partners on information infrastructure solutions that have been developed to meet the specific needs of telecoms operators. The summit will also discuss trends in the telecoms sector, and hear case studies from leading telecoms operators from around the region.
"The telecoms sector in the Middle East and North Africa continues to show extremely strong growth as markets liberalize and as services are extended to new regions and new customers. However, this growth, and the increasing regulatory requirements for telecoms companies mean that operators are facing the problem of how to manage and store an ever-expanding mass of business data," said Mohammed Amin, General Manager, EMC Middle East & North Africa region.
"EMC counts many of the leading telecoms companies worldwide among our customers, and we have a long and proven record of providing them with comprehensive solutions to manage their information, securely and cost-effectively. This telecoms summit gives us an ideal forum to share these world-class solutions with our customers in the Middle East, to ensure that they are able to build their information infrastructure to support their businesses as they grow," Amin added.
