Toshiba e-STUDIO colours the office space
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, February 28 - 2007 at 16:47
- PRESS RELEASE
A recent IDC study has shown that the use of colour printing in offices is becoming increasingly important.
"Colour is no longer a luxury but a business necessity," commented Pradeep Kumar, Regional Manager, Electronic Imaging Division, Toshiba Gulf Free Zone. "To give just one example, IDC predicts that the market growth for colour Multi Functional Printers (MFP) will grow by an average of 42.5% between 2006 and 2010 . This growth is particularly relevant to medium to large size businesses where the importance of colour for success in communication is widely recognised. In view of this, Toshiba developed the first full colour e-BRIDGE MFP to satisfy the needs of this diverse user segments".
As part of its innovative line up of products, Toshiba has launched the e-STUDIO2500c/3500c full-colour multifunctional printer (MFP). The new MFP combines high colour speed of up to 35ppm/cpm, superior image quality and high-level performance in one multi-functional network system to ensure increased productivity within affordable reach.
"The new e-STUDIO range combines strong total cost of ownership with features that will positively impact on productivity straight away. This means business doesn't have to compromise on speed and performance while adopting colour in the offices, as was the case in the past" said Kumar.
Businesses can benefit from the competitive TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) from enhanced productivity gains in document delivery, management and distribution with wide range of e-STUDIO features, such as dual-sided printing, N-up printing, templates, proof copy/print, two-colour printing, users authorization, scan to email and many more. Businesses can now produce point of purchase materials, leaflets in house without having to outsource it and send them electronically around the world at the touch of a button.
The USB function that allows users to print directly from a USB memory stick or save scanned documents onto it, is a great time saving feature that allows mobile executives travelling within offices to have direct access to the benefits of the MFP without the having the need to access a network computer.
For documents to be emailed, Toshiba has also introduced the "slim PDF" feature. This new high compression PDF method allows users to scan and create highly compressed PDF text data up to 1/150 of the original size and image data up to 8 times of the original size, without compromising on good visibility of the document.
The e-STUDIO2500c/3500c incorporates numerous technologies to deliver exceptionally sharp images. The top of the range 8-bit RIP technology supports 256 gradation-per-dot processing capability and the second generation eBridge controller ensures fine tuned and full-colour performance as well as improved security protection in the network. For even more demanding graphic environment, Toshiba also offers optional EFI Fiery Controller, which is renowned for its ideal colour management capabilities in the professional graphics arts market.
Toshiba is also committed to environmental protection - making use of products that impart minimum ecological impact. The e-STUDIO2500c/3500c is part of Toshiba's commitment to the reduction of hazardous substance output in line with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) requirements of the European Union for 2006. "Environmental concerns are top priority at Toshiba not only for our products but also at the manufacturing level. All Toshiba TEC manufacturing facilities have been awarded ISO14001 certification - the internationally recognized standard for environmental management systems," concluded Kumar.
The new full colour MFPs, e-STUDIO2500c/3500c has just been awarded Five-Star Rating from BERTL. These models are now available across the Middle East.
