Dubai Silicon Oasis to reveal advanced infrastructure at CABSAT 2007

Taking place from 6-8 March at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, DSO will have a dedicated 36 sq m stand in Hall 3 (E3-33) at the exhibition, showcasing a scale model of the development's distribution of business and infrastructure.

Shahla Abdul Razak Al Bastaki, Deputy Chief Executive Officer - DSO, said: "Dubai Silicon Oasis is constantly seeking to reinforce and develop its technology-based infrastructure, enabling all customers to experience convenient facilities that best suit their businesses."

DSO has netted considerable investments from technology firms. Among the latest crop of investors is Europe's Optical Disc Group and Solar Technologies Group that will invest AED 112 million in the technology park to establish a research and development centre, an optical media training and support facility. The Group will also manufacture next generation optical media products, solar cells, solar panels and tempered glass used in photovoltaic and the building industry.

In addition, DSO signed an agreement recently with Avaya to provide IP telephony network for its head office and customer hosting facility. Dubai Silicon Oasis also announced the setting up of Dubai Circuit Design FZE, a dedicated Integrated Circuit design centre that will encourage the design of computer chips to be made in Dubai.

DSO will unveil its forthcoming plans for the development of the 7.2 sq km technology park during CABSAT 2007.
