Fastlink, EMS, and RIM launch BlackBerry in Jordan

Fastlink, part of MTC group, today launched BlackBerry® in Jordan with Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM) and Emitac Mobile Solutions (EMS).
In February, Fastlink received the RIM Award of Excellence for its speed and skills in implementing the BlackBerry solution in Jordan. The award was handed to Fastlink's CEO Saad Nasir in Barcelona during the 3GSM event.
Introducing the BlackBerry wireless platform in Jordan is an important milestone for Fastlink. EMS will be assisting Fastlink in launching, delivering, supporting and selling the BlackBerry solution to its customers.
Nasir, Fastlink's CEO, expressed his delight with the new service. "We are proud to be the first mobile service provider in Jordan to provide our corporate customers with such a differentiated service. Fastlink has always been the pioneer in introducing top of the line communication services in Jordan and across the Middle East. The BlackBerry 8700g provides exceptional performance together with an intuitive user experience. Fastlink customers will be able to use the quad-band handset on Fastlink's network in Jordan as well as more than 60 countries through more than 120 global roaming relationships*.
