German National Tourist Board takes part at the ITB 2007

The German National Tourist Board is participating at this year's International Tourism Exchange ITB Berlin, which will be taking place from the 7th - 11th March, 2007 on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds and in the ICC Berlin.

Trade visitor's timings for the event are from 10am to 6pm and General Public is on March 10th and 11th from 10am to 6pm. The German National Tourist Board (GNTB) is situated in Hall no. 12 and has a new booth design which is very open and creates a high awareness because of its height and the German colours (black, red, yellow) integrated in the design.

Ms. Heike Murad, GCC Manager States of the German National Tourist Board (GNTB) said, "We are proud to announce that for the first time the German National Tourist Board has joined hands with Berlin Tourism Marketing in one booth. Further, the German National Tourist Board (GNTB) provides 10 stalls in their booth for other tourism partners and organizations who want to be present at the Germany Stall. This year for the first time, there is a special service for media at the ITB called "Media-Meeting point Germany".

In addition, the GNTB booth will provide a special service for international media participants. In hall 5.3, journalists can get all information about destination Germany, photos and films which will be provided. There are press kits available from every federal state as well. Further, we can bring the journalists in direct contact to the different federal states."

She concluded, "This year's travel fair will once again fulfill its vital role as a stimulus for the international tourism industry and in particular, the German Travel industry. As travel and tourism's world fair in 2007 it will again provide clear indicators about the future of the industry and therefore I am looking forward to meeting a lot of the tourism partners from other regions and learn about the current directions and latest tourism trends.

'Furthermore, I am eager to build fruitful relationships with a lot of the tourism partners from the GCC region as well as Germany in order to enhance the tourism growth and awareness from the UAE and other Gulf regions to Germany."
