- PRESS RELEASE
V-KOOL, the world's most technologically advanced heat control film, made its first foray into the retail segment with the launch of a V-KOOL Kiosk at Mega Mall in Sharjah.
The V-KOOLŪ Kiosk is a scaled-down version of a V-KOOLŪ showroom, where customers can come and select the car film of their choice. A heat tunnel is installed at the Kiosk where customers can experience the benefits of using V-KOOLŪ films. The heat tunnel is a device used to showcase the heat rejection capability of the film. Using infrared lamps, real-life heat build-up is recreated in the heat tunnel that resembles the cabin temperature of a car when it's parked in the sun.
Customers shopping at Mega Mall now have the convenience of installing a V-KOOLŪ film on their cars while shopping for their favourite brands at the mall. Commenting on this new concept, KT Govindrajan, General Manager V-KOOL Emirates said, "Providing the best for the customer has always been a priority with us. It is our constant endeavour to reach out and provide them with better service. It is the beginning of a pan-emirate strategy and the coming years will witness more of these Kiosks around UAE."
V-KOOLŪ films are scientifically manufactured using state-of-the art technology and was voted one of the top 100 inventions of the millennium by Popular Science magazine, a title which it has retained since 1999. Over 16 million cars worldwide are V-KOOLŪ protected and it is the film of choice for leading European car manufacturers.

V-KOOL started out as a basic transparent energy conservation film supplier in the US In the seventies. The idea got a further boost when scientists and engineers of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) got involved in an advanced research and were successful in creating a visibly clear inorganic coating that had specific infra-red reflective qualities.
This achievement was followed by a breakthrough in surface and particle technology that led to the development of a spectrally selective coating. This science of combining significant solar control with high visible light transmission and low visible reflectivity was an industry first and it went on to win the 'Technology of the Year Award'. Other applications of this 'state-of-the-art' technology included the US space agency, NASA on its specialized equipment as well as the US Air Force Stealth Bomber.
