DIHRD signs MoU with Balance Scorecard Collaborative
- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, March 04 - 2007 at 14:25
- PRESS RELEASE
The Dubai Institute for Human Resources Development (DIHRD) signed a MOU with Balance Scorecard Collaborative (BSCOL), a Palladium company dedicated to the worldwide awareness, use, enhancement, and integrity of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) as a value-added management process.
The agreement underlines main streams of collaboration between DIHRD and BSCOL, combining their expertise to provide government and private sector employees with professional training, development and other services. Balance Scorecard Collaborative will also provide education and research support to DIHRD, and help build and grow a Balance Scorecard practice in the local and regional market.
Mohammad Jasim, CEO of DIHRD, said: "This partnership highlights our commitment to help government & private sectors achieve organizational excellence in line with the directives of the Dubai Government Excellence Programme and the Dubai Strategy Plan 2015, UAE federal strategy and excellence awards as well as international excellence awards
Dr. Robert Kaplan, who created the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) concept with Dr. David P. Norton in 1992, was hosted last November by DIHRD as a speaker on his groundbreaking management system for organizations to achieve performance excellence.
Jasim added: "The partnership is a follow up on our initial cooperation with Dr. Kaplan. We believe the Balance Scorecard has been integral to the success of organizations throughout the world, and our commitment is to transfer that success to UAE, to further establish its regional role as a leader of innovation and excellence."
The partnership will facilitate joint training programmes and knowledge transformation. The agreement allows for two public courses to be organized during the year, in addition to providing customized in-house training upon request.
Mangels pointed out the BSCOL affiliate programme is highly selective, seeking organizations that have proven credibility and hold a deep strategy consulting expertise. "We are proud to have such a capable partner as DIHRD that will help leverage our goals in the region, using technical tools, best practices methodologies and thought leadership from Dr Kaplan and Dr Norton."
BSCOL is a member of Palladium, along with two other world leading professional services firms Painted Word, and ThinkFast Consulting. It has combined the expertise and principles of Strategy-Focused Organization with Corporate Performance Management methodologies and technologies.
