Jadaf Dubai confirmed today that it will participate in the Dubai Careers Fair 2007 to be held in the Dubai World Trade Center from March 13 to 15 as part of its policy of expanding its local human resources base.
Khamis bin Jarash, Assistant Director General, Jadaf Dubai, said: "Our aim is to attract more nationals to join Jadaf Dubai, especially now that it is on the threshold of a new era of development with our relocation to Dubai Maritime City.
'Our expanded facilities will position us among the best in the world in the business of building and repairing wood and metal vessels and luxury boats. We are already the established leaders in ship maintenance and repair work in the region.
"At the Careers Fair we plan to offer employment opportunities to UAE nationals, especially in technical fields, and will be looking for candidates for different kinds of marine and maintenance operations."
Jadaf Dubai pursues an active policy of increasing the number of locals on its employment roll.
Mr Bin Jarash said: "It is one of the strategic objectives laid down by the Government of Dubai to expand our indigenous human assets base, while taking into consideration the necessity to observe the criteria for selecting applicants based on merit. We provide the new recruits specialized training courses to enable them to blend well with our work systems and procedures.'
