Increased power and comfort for refreshed new Kia Sorento

Al Majid Motors Co. (Member of Juma Al Majid Group), the sole distributor for Kia vehicles in the UAE announced the first sale of the Face-Lift Kia Sorento 2007 in the UAE.
"The SUV market in UAE is highly competitive and we were immensely flattered by the reception given to Sorento at its launch in 2003, and by its subsequent sales volumes. Since then, independent customer survey results have confirmed that the Sorento is a very satisfying vehicle to own, but now it is time to offer our customers more power, more comfort and a subtle styling make-over," commented Mr Samir Tayeh, President of Al Majid Motors.
"The new models have all had a healthy power boost, the addition of several significant comfort and safety features and a thoroughly refreshed appearance, both outside and inside the vehicle and are expected to be even more popular than previous versions," added Mr. Tayeh.
New bumpers front and rear add 20 mm to the overall length, while new projection-style headlamps, new tail lights, plus new wheel arches and new style wheels, and new front, rear and side body moldings, all add up to whole new look for the 4.6 meter long vehicle.
The new look has been achieved without changing any of the Sorento's major exterior metal panels and the 2,710 mm wheelbase is retained, together with the ladder chassis and dual-frame body construction for outstanding strength and safety.
The impact of the new look is heightened by the two models which are available with an entirely 'body-colour' exterior finish - in Silver or Black - giving this pair of Sorento vehicles a raised level of visual sophistication. A choice of eight other colours with contrasting nose, tail, wheel arch and side panel trims in Pewter Gray is also available.
Inside, the centre stack now houses dual-zone climate control air-conditioning, a trip computer and audio with CD player and MP3 compatibility - depending on model and also available options on request such as DVD player with Navigator and 6.95 TFT touch screen that are compatible for ipod, play station, TV, rear camera, etc. Most models come equipped with four audio speakers (one in each door) and tweeter units fitted on the inside of the door mirror mounts.
The Sorento is targeted at motorists looking for a well-appointed crossover vehicle that combined the ruggedness of the off-road, go anywhere workhorse, with the comfort and smooth ride of a top-class sedan. It had been positioned by Kia as a premium SUV and consumer clinics of prototypes before launch compared the newcomer favorably with the Lexus RX300 and the Mercedes M-Class.
Subsequently, world-wide customer demand for the SUV has ensured that it is remained one of Kia's biggest success stories as well as being an instant sales success in the Middle East.
Kia Motors Corporation is planning to sell 200,000 units around the world in both 2007 and 2008, when annual demand in the USA alone is expected to pass the 100,000 units level and that means would be buyers should get their names down quickly.
All three trim levels, LX, EX and EX FO come with a choice of equipment levels which offer a wide range of luxury options for purchasers.
