- PRESS RELEASE
Jadaf Dubai, which is relocating its ship repair facilities to an ultra-modern complex on the man-made Dubai Maritime City island, announced on Sunday that it has begun processing applications and executing lease contracts for plots of land, ship building and maintenance workshops, warehouses and other commercial outlets.
Khamis Bin Jarsh, Assistant General Manager, Jadaf Dubai said: "We would give priority to our existing clients in recognition of their loyalty to Jadaf Dubai. Our efforts, during the first phase, which should end in the first quarter of the current year, shall be centered on accommodating the companies with which we have been working side by side since the start of Jadaf's operation. The new location will be perfect for the marine industry thanks to its design based on detailed studies that took into consideration present and future needs. All forecasts show that most of the offered spaces will be leased within two months. Lease applications can be made to our real estate department and no application shall be approved except after careful study in order to make sure that the applicant will bring real value addition to the enhanced level of services planned at the new Jadaf Dubai."
The Jadaf Dubai complex at Dubai Maritime City would include 82 workshops, with sizes of 884sq m and 442 sq.m and 82 warehouses of 510 square meters each, more than 30 commercial outlets specializing in marine accessories, spare parts, engines and oils, in addition to office units, showrooms and restaurants.
Currently Labour accommodation for about 9000 members are being planned.
