Dubai International Anaesthesia & Intensive Care Conference & Exhibition inaugurated by His Excellency Mr. Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid

Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance & Industry, President of the Department of Health and Medical Services, Dubai International Anaesthesia & Intensive Care Conference & Exhibition was inaugurated today by His Excellency Mr. Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, Director General - Department of Health and Medical Services at Crowne Plaza Hotel Dubai.
The conference and exhibition will present a vital opportunity to anaesthesia practitioners to meet and learn about the latest updates and developments in pain management, critical care medicine and anaesthesia, through scientific programmes and a wide range of topics and subjects within the Perioperative Medicine, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine and Pain Management.
The conference and exhibition is hosting speakers and practitioners from Germany, Sweden, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, UK, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Iran and Egypt in addition to Consultants, Anaesthesiologists from the Department of Health and Medical Services in Dubai who will confer about the progress and latest innovations within this highly specialised medical field.
As the Department of Health and Medical Services aims constantly to provide healthcare services based upon international standards, Mr. Qadhi said, 'we strive to utilise the latest technology and developments and host international conferences in all specialties in order to keep our care providers at brisk with the latest developments, and the Anaesthesia specialty is no difference.'
Thus, "Anaesthesia 2007" aims to broaden the knowledge and update the medical community in the United Arab Emirates and the Region
Dr. Mansoor Nadhari, Conference Chairman thanked the scientific committee that has produced a comprehensive programme covering wide topics, which obtained the recognition and accreditation of two prominent accrediting bodies namely the American Academy of Continuing Medical Education and the Medical Council in Berlin Germany.
After the inaugural ceremony, the scientific sessions commenced and different topics were discussed, covering the Pharmacodynamics, management of neuromuscular block, general anaesthesia, Opioid analgesia in inflammatory pain, treatment of postoperative pain, the pain management of cancer patient and others.
The activities of the conference shall continue on the 7th and 8th of March 2007 at Crowne Plaza Hotel Dubai and interested parties are welcome to attend.
