Oman Air Training Centre an authorised provider for IATA/FIATA Diploma

This diploma is approved worldwide because it assures highly skilled capacity, and for being a respected qualification for the ones who wishes to work in an air-transport company.

Corporate communications and Media Department, Oman Air stated: The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) is the largest non-governmental organisation in the field of transportation, and was founded in Vienna/Austria on May 31, 1926. It represents today an industry covering approximately 40,000 forwarding and logistics firms, also known as the "Architects of Transport", employing around 8 - 10 million people in 150 countries. FIATA is recognised as representing the freight forwarding industry by many other governmental organisations, governmental authorities, private international organisations in the field of transport such as the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the International Union of Railways (UIC), the International Road Transport Union (IRU), the World Customs Organization (WCO), the World Trade Organization (WTO), etc.

Ms. Ruqaiya Adams Acting Training Manager of Oman Air stated that:" The IATA/FIATA International Cargo Agents Training Programme has been developed and is updated by a team of cargo experts and training specialists to assist Cargo Agencies in meeting their obligations under the Resolutions. The IATA/FIATA Introductory Course provided by Oman Air Training Centre is one of the requirements for accreditation as an IATA Cargo Agent. This course is designed for the traffic and operations staff of international air cargo agents but is also useful to sales and marketing staff of cargo agents and consolidators; sales, reservations and acceptance staff of airlines, airport handling and surface transportation companies; shipping department staff of manufacturers, wholesalers, importers and exporters. The IATA accreditation for any company means increased business opportunities".
