"I have continuously stressed on the importance of making e-business technologies more usable and acceptable in the region and particularly in the UAE because of all the benefits that web-based technologies bring to the workplace," he said.
Bin Zayed Group of Companies own and operate a diversified portfolio of businesses that include construction and real estate, trading supplies and services, financial services and project management. The project, with ACCPAC Advantage Series atits core, standardizes the software applications used in each of the Group's Companies, and migrates the group communication to the Internet, via centralized Servers located in Dubai. GTFS, a Dubai based ACCPAC business partner, will pilot and implement the project.

"Basically, this means that the Group's management, employees, clients and suppliers will have online real time interaction with the various companies of the group via the Internet, boosting not only communications, but also streamlining the Group's diversified business processes and bringing them to an unprecedented optimum level," said Nizamuddin Siddiqui, Group Accounts Manager, Bin Zayed Group.

ACCPAC Advantage Series, a web-based financial business application, will act as the nucleus for a variety of software systems integrated with the suite. ACCPAC will be used individually for each business of the group, and collectively for accounting and financial reporting of the group as a whole. "ACCPAC is flexible in its ability to be customized and to be integrated, that few other software vendors have been able to match in terms of practicality and price," said Mr. Siddiqui.

Marc Van der Ven, Managing Director for ACCPAC Middle East commented saying: "The UAE is one of the most advanced markets in the region in terms of technology adoption and the most rational in choosing the right technologies for the right performance. This, I believe, is because it has technology pioneers that are driving the revolutionary change in doing business in the country."

Sheikh Khaled Bin Zayed Al Nehayan added, "I will continue inviting all business houses in the Emirates to jump on the technology bandwagon while choosing what serves their business and competitive interests best and what builds their brands and loyalties. This agreement with ACCPAC is my proof of the success of this concept, as applied to my own Group of Companies, and I am happy to extend this great opportunity to the UAE market."
