Ericsson top management visit to Egypt

Carl-Henric Svanberg, Ericsson President and CEO, will visit Cairo today.
Ericsson's delegation includes: Kurt Jofs, Executive Vice President and Head of Business Unit Networks, Bert Nordberg, Executive Vice President and Head of Group Function Sales and Marketing, Hans Vestberg, Executive Vice President and Head of Business Unit Global Services, Hakan Eriksson, Senior Vice President, General Manager and Chief Technology Officer
Jan Wareby, Senior Vice President and head of business unit Multimedia.
The key objective of this visit is to boost Ericsson's plans for its commitment to the development of the Egyptian ICT scene, as well to promote the Ericsson business portfolio in the country.
During this visit, Carl-Henric Svanberg and his management team will be visiting Dr. Ahmed Nazif, the Egyptian Prime Minister, Dr. Tarek Kamel, the Egyptian Minister of Communications and IT. He will also meet with top executives of Ericsson's key customers in Egypt.
Carl-Henric will highlight the company's views on the telecommunications industry, Ericsson latest announcements and achievements and Ericsson's role as a prime driver in supporting the country in its ICT development.
Egypt is considered a key emerging market for Ericsson Group for the multitude of investment opportunities that it offers, as well for its rich human wealth. Hence, selecting Cairo to be a strategic destination within the Ericsson Executive's Visit to Africa and the Middle East, demonstrates the significance of the Egyptian market for Ericsson's global growth plans.
