RTA appoints nationals in leading positions

Nationals have been appointed at the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) in leading positions across various departments through several administrative orders issued by Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

This came in line with the Directions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai to persuade growing talent among the nationals and encourage Emiratisation in the authority. The new appointments are to ensure the vision and strategic goals of the RTA are established.

The new orders include the appointment of Abdul Salam Mahmoud Al Marzouqi, as Deputy Director of Public Bus Department in the Public Transport Agency. He has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from UAE University in Al Ain and Diploma in Programming and System analysis and design from the General Authority of Information. He has gained more than 13 years of experience the fields of Accounting, General & administrative services, finance and undergone several specialized, supervision and technical trainings that post him in this position.

Hussein Al Saffar has been appointed as Project & Marine Works Manager in the Marine Transport Agency. He has number of academic certificates such as Master degree in the General Quality and Business Performance Management from Bradford University in UK and also bachelors' degree in Engineering Management with excellent and Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering from Dubai Men's College with Excellent and first Honor and has number of scientific certificates and specialized courses. He gained more than six years of experiences through working in positions the same field of civil engineering and supervision on several construction works of projects.

The order also includes the appointment of Sultan Mohammed Al Marzouqi as stakeholders Manager in the Parking and Roads fees Department of the Traffic and Roads Agency. He has Bachelor of Business and Economics in Accounting from UAE University in Al Ain. He has gained more than four years of experiences in accounting field and undergone several specialized training courses in this field as well.

The order also appointed Rashid Al Falasi as Landscape Manager in the Roads Department at Traffic and Roads Agency. He has a bachelor degree of Agriculture Science from UAE University in Al Ain and now preparing his high studies to hold Master degree in Landscape Architecture at Queensland university of Technology in Australia. He has more than 12 years of experiences in the agriculture and road landscape.
