With its superior performance and pricing, the popular storage solution took center stage at Iomega's successful Gitex presence in Dubai.

Iomega's experience at Gitex 2002 had been largely successful with the corporation's stand drawing a huge number of visitors. The wide array of products on offer were extremely popular amongst corporate and domestic clients. The NAS servers, in particular, were an instant success amongst corporate visitors at Gitex 2002.

"Small and medium-sized businesses across the world are increasingly looking to protect and share their digital data. They don't need an expensive general purpose server to accomplish this. Iomega has studied the marketplace and is delivering the solution - innovative and easy-to-use NAS products that provide advanced functionality at dramatically lower costs," said Jim Payne, president & managing director, Iomega Pacific.

Iomega NAS file servers are tailored to the rapidly expanding storage needs of the small office/home office (SOHO), small to medium-sized business, and enterprise workgroups. Each is pre-configured for easy installation in minutes. Iomega NAS servers transparently support multiple network environments and file protocols. The primary benefit of multi-platform support is the power it gives network managers to consolidate data from platform-specific servers across the network onto one easy-to-maintain device.

"The Gitex has largely transformed into a regional platform for global corporations looking to grow in the Middle East. The exhibition is now the ideal launch pad for various IT-related products." Said Mr. Elias Abou Rustom, Marketing Director for Arab Business Machine Ltd. (ABM): "We had also utilized this wonderful opportunity to successfully launch the NAS servers, the latest storage option for small and medium-sized enterprises in the Middle East."

Iomega's NAS servers include the IomegaŽ NAS A300U and the Iomega NAS P400U, P405U and P410U as well as the Iomega P400m, P405m, and P410m. With a maximum capacity of 480GB, hot-swappable drives, RAID 5 and RAID 5+ hot spare, Iomega has created an innovative, flexible storage option for businesses looking to manage their data.
