The Palisades premiers at Cartier Polo World Cup on snow

The Palisades, the vision of His Highness Sheikh Issa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is AED15 billion Dubai-based luxury real estate project that is inspired by the Georgian, Regency and Victorian architectural eras.

Joining Mr. Sami Hennawi and Mr. Bachir Barkaji, representatives from His Highness's Real Estate Development Company, Pearl Properties, and Mr. Osman Valli and Mr. Mohammad Al Ghafli from Aristocrate Holdings Ltd, development partners for The Palisades project, was Cartier's European Managing Director, Mr. Tom Meggle, who welcomed The Palisades participation at the world's most prestigious social and sporting event.

Other guests of The Palisades included globally famous polo players, Adriano Agosti and Novillo Astrada, and a host of VIPs and European social glitterati, the most famous of which Germany's regal society queen and style icon, the stunning, Renate Hirsch-Giacomuzzi. Madame Hirsh-Giacomuzzi is expected to visit Dubai soon as guest of His Highness, and has already expressed great interest in investing in The Palisades project. Members of European royal families also flew to St Moritz in Switzerland for the Cartier Polo World Cup on Snow event, including Princess Beatrice, granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II.

Liveried footmen, glamorous hostesses dressed in period costume, and a classical string quartet entertained VIP guests and an elite polo clientele over the three day tournament from The Palisades Marquee, which occupied a prime position next to the snow-covered polo arena on the frozen lake in St Moritz.

Mr. Sami Hennawi and Mr. Bachir Barkaji, from His Highness's office, spent the three days discussing the development and explaining His Highness's vision for the development and Dubai - to create a unique and inspirational place to live, learn and work in.

The Palisades CEO, Mr. Osman Valli, commented, "The event has been an amazing success. Dubai has a strong connection with polo already, and we decided to use the Cartier Polo World Cup on Snow in St Moritz for our European launch. For The Palisades, we are offering the best to both residents and visitors. We are in discussion with a major European luxury retailer to become our flagship retail outlet, as well as a leading name in the hotel industry to steer our 5-star offering, and I hope to release details of these very soon."

The Palisades will be located within Dubai Investments Park, a modern environmentally friendly mixed use commercial, business residential and recreational development. Covering 138 hectares, the Palisades will be home to Dubai's largest urban parkland totalling more than a 1/3 of the entire development at 5 million sq. ft.
