E-Vision expands its rich content base

Emirates Cable TV and Multimedia - E-Vision, the leading cable TV provider in the region, announced the launch of four new channels and a new Direct Entry Package for the Filipino community during the second day of the Middle East Cable, Satellite, Broadcast, and Communications Exhibition (CABSAT 2007) in Dubai.

E-Vision also simultaneously launched its new Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) to faciliate customer awareness about programme details on its channels.

The launch of Orbit Cable Pinoy Plus package and the new channels -MBC Action, Hawas TV, Al Jazeera English and Gear One expands E-Vision's already extensive bouquet of channels catering to the diverse communities of the UAE.

GMA 7, Pinoy Box office(PBO) and NBN Pinoy News along with a selection of Orbit's most popular western channels will comprise the new Direct Entry package on Orbit Cable Pinoy Plus which will be available to all subscribers for only Dh 99.

Hawas TV is a popular local Arabic Music channel that also features music videos from the Gulf and other Arabic countries.

Al Jazeera English, the 24-hour English-language news and current affairs channel is headquartered in Doha and is the world's first global English language news channel to be headquartered in the Middle East.

MBC Action, the latest channel addition to the MBC Group portfolio, will also be available to E-Vision subscribers bringing them the latest western action series, movies and action reality shows.

GearOne is the first satellite television channel in the Middle East dedicated exclusively to entertainment, news, information and issues related to automobiles and the lifestyle of the fast lane.

E-Vision also introduced today a further service enhancement with the launch of the Electronic Programme Guide(EPG) for customers. The Electronic Programme guide will give information on the current programme playing on the selected channel . Customers will also be able to get an extended synopsis of the current programme by pressing the Info Key on their E-Vision remote in addition to getting a synopsis on the next scheduled programme thus enabling them to plan their schedules without missing their favourite programmes.
